We want our user to have an enjoyable experience playing CharacterConnect with their friends whilst also allowing users to improve on their vocabulary and literacy skills in order to boost their academic skills.

> Fostering a friendly competitive community spirit- Throughout the features included in our game, we have ensured it allows users to not only communicate but also too bring out their competitive side. The in-game chat box allows this, as it allows students to communicate with each other whilst playing, therefore allowing them to make new friendships and also communicate online to friends and classmates. The leader board will allow students to compete for the top spot, therefore allowing students to engage in competition to finish at the top.

> Providing a safe environment- As our game will have a young audience, we want to make sure that they will be safe from offensive language and bullying, therefore our in-game chat will protect users from seeing bad/ offensive language showing up.

> Keeping your information confidential under the Data Protection Act 2018.

1) Who can Use this Service?

CharacterConnect is aimed at young children aged 7-15, however anyone above the age of 7 is welcome to enjoy the game as long as they adhere to the terms and conditions. CharacterConnect provides a safe environment for all users, however we advise all young players of the game to notify parents/ guardians that you use this game and make sure you are given permission by your parents/ guardians to play.

2) Registration and Account

> You may create an account if you are aged 7 or above.

> Your username will be your unique identifier, please keep this too yourself and do not let others know your details.

> Your password is what you will also use to login- It is your responsibility to keep your password private. It is essential that this information isn’t passed on.

> You can choose to delete your account if you no longer want an account for CharacterConnect, however if you do choose to delete your account, there will not be an option to retrieve it and by accepting to delete your account, you accept that we will delete all your data/ results.

3) Chat Box Rules

> Do not insult or attack other users.

> Do not use any language that could offend other users.

> Do not use any racist, sexist, inappropriate or rude language.

> Do not ask other users for their personal information.

> Do harass, stalk, or intimidate other users.

> Do not spam.

> Do not Encourage any illegal activity.

> Do not humiliate others.

ANY VIOLATIONS OR ACTS AGAINST THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS WILL RESULTS IN YOUR ACCOUNT GETTING PERMANENTLY BANNED FROM THE GAME AND YOU WILL NO LONGER BE PROVIDED THE OPPORTUNITY TO RECREATE AN ACCOUNT. PLEASE ABIDE TO THESE TERMS AND ENJOY THE GAME.
